Anchors Aweigh

You come to a point where life starts taking people on their own paths. The only thing you can do is find those anchors that will always keep you grounded. No matter where you are, they will provide you the support and strength you need. So what does that have to do with some crayons and a blank canvas? As a going away present for one of my anchors, I decided to make a piece of artwork for her new apartment. This ways she will always have a reminder of home and how much she will be missed.

This was an inspired piece from Pinterest that was made with melted crayons. I never would have thought that it would turn out as fun as it did. You can do this on any size canvas, with any color crayons, and in any shape. I have seen some in color shades and landscapes. The best part is that you literally can't mess up. All you have to do is super glue unwrapped crayons to the canvas and melt the crayons with a hairdryer. Once the wax begins to melt it spreads and creates the splashes of color that makes it so unique. So give it a try and see what colors move you.
