Sweet Tots

There is something about tater tots that reminds me of childhood. The bite size pieces were fun to play with and poppable, so they were easy to eat. I haven't bought frozen potatoes in a really long time, but when I saw sweet potato tots in someone's cart at the store I knew I needed to try them. These little tots are from Alexia, which has really great seasoned potato wedges and waffle fries. These are absolutely delish! They aren't too sweet, have a very tiny touch of salt, and a crispy outside. They are fun to eat and have more nutrition than regular potatoes. I made sure to limit myself so that I wouldn't eat too many because they are really easy to eat. I will be buying these again because they are a grown up version of one of my childhood favorites. Be sure to pick up a bag next time you are at your grocery store!

Catch the Peach Wave!

So frozen yogurt is the hot new dessert trend, but let's be honest. Most of the places are super similar and only have variations in the decor and some of the flavors. Even though they are so similar, I try to give each one their fair shot. Of course, trying out a frozen yogurt place was on the to do list while in Tulsa, so I decided to catch the Peach Wave. Usually, I try to be healthy and eat the yogurt with fruit and granola, but I decided that I would have a little bit of both. I chose a cupcake flavored yogurt, which amazingly tasted exactly like a frosted cupcake. It was super delicious, I have to admit. I topped it with some raspberries, blueberries, strawberries, sprinkles, and chocolate covered raisins. I know it probably sounds like a weird combination, but I promise you it was delish! The bf opted for white chocolate and cookies and cream yogurt with chocolate syrup, gummy bears, brownie bites, and m&ms. This place ranked pretty high up on the frozen yogurt list, but maybe it's just because I adored the cupcake yogurt. Can you tell which yogurt is mine? Comment below to see if you are right and be sure to stop by the next time you visit Tulsa.

Munching on Menchie's

I am a huge fan of dessert, especially ones that are on the healthier side. Frozen yogurt seems to be the hot new treat, so I am always up to comparing the available options. My most recent frozen yogurt outing took me and a friend to a place called Menchie's. How can you not love a really fun, brightly colored yogurt scoop as the mascot? This concept is unique because they have lots of rotating flavors. They also have two different topping bars. One has healthy options like fruits and nuts and the other has less healthy, but just as yummy treats, like sprinkles and gummy bears. Plus, they have sauces like hot fudge and marshmallow, which are not available at the other places I have been to. One other really unique thing is that they have waffles bowls available. As a bonus they have waffle bowl Wednesday where you can get a free waffle bowl. What's not to love about that?! They have a great rewards program where you earn smiles which count towards coupons, making everything sweeter. Stop by Menchie's to beat the heat and customize your own frozen yogurt concoction.
