Central Market is such a wonderful place to visit, especially during the holidays. They have so many fun goodies and unique gifts for the foodie in your life. There are always special events at Central Market and I was fortunate to be able to participate in their Holiday Sip and Stroll. I have never done on before, but it was so much fun! Basically it is a wine and food sampling event throughout the store. You pay $10 and get to try food and wine in every department and you leave with a goodie bag and wine glass. There were samples of turkey, ham, shrimp cocktail, olive oils, cookies, cake, cheese, tamales and a whole thanksgiving meal - quinoa stuffing, prosciutto wrapped shrimp, creamed spinach and pork belly wrapped pork loin. The wines include a Pinor Noir, Merlot, Chardonnay, sparkling wine and sweet red wine. Not only did I leave with a full tummy, but I left with some chocolates, body lotion, maple cream cookies and a bottle of sparkling pear juice. This was definitely a hands-on and fun way to dine. If you get a chance to participate in their next sip and stroll, you should as it's a fun way to get some entertaining ideas.
